Luke from Southside Stump Grinding was amazing. I had a number of Yuccas that needed to be removed at Stanwell Tops. Research told me that Yuccas were very resilient and prevalent. Luke left me with friable, loose raked garden beds and a promise that he would return if the yuccas ever decided to reappear. I live in Balgownie and needed a tree stump removed. I found Southside Stump Grinding's contact details on a Poster near our house so I rang for a quote. Luke was very friendly and responded the same day for a quote. His pricing was very good and gave me a time in the next week to come and remove it. He rang when he said he would on the day and he came and removed the stump. He cleaned up after himself and left the garden looking very nice. He did a fantastic job and said he woukd come back if anything needed to be done that i didnt like. I highly recommend Luke's services.

I contacted Luke on New Years Day, requesting a quote for stump grinding a Norfolk Island Pine tree and two other smaller stumps in our front yard in Dapto. The Norfolk Island pine stump stretched just under a metre wide and had extensive roots all over the front yard, including large roots enclosing the water metre. Luke was prompt and professional, fitting us in 2 days after initial contact. Luke was clear about what he could do, providing reassurance and guidance on what to do regarding the large roots encasing the water metre. I highly recommend Luke from Southside Stump Grinding. (First seven photos are before, last six photos are after). Where I had to chase up quotes from some other businesses, Luke was prompt with his quote and it was highly competitive. He was very clear in what the quote included, and what were the trickier parts of the job. He was considerate of our tenants when doing the job, cleaning up after himself and returning the yard to how it was, even replacing all the sandstone rocks that bordered the garden to their original position. There was no dirt splatter all over the fences etc. as he used protective sheets of ply throughout the job. I was very happy with Southside Stump Grinding.

Luke did a great job cutting through a stump and large roots to let me install a stormwater pipe at our place in Koonawarra. His hand held machine got through the tight access and was able to cut down to the 600mm depth of the trench. Luke dug out the chip to make sure he’d got everything down to the right depth before he left. He let me know when he’d arrive for both the quote and the job and was here when he said he would be. An excellent job and a great bloke. Highly recommended.

Last week Luke attended my mums property to remove 4 tree stumps that were considered a pool compliance issues. 2 of the 4 stumps were in a tricky spot in a pool retaining wall. This was no problem for Luke and he successfully got them out. Luke also helped us set up a tarp over the pool to protect it and then he went above and beyond getting the area cleaned up.

I contacted Southside Stump Grinding via their web page for a quote. Luke contacted me back within one hour and came to the job site that afternoon and gave me a quote. The job was at a block of units where we were told by another company that due to the tight access the stumps could not be ground down. I called Luke to get a quote on a tree that was in a precarious position due to the recent floods and grind a tree stump. Unfortunately the tree was a bit too big but he was able to suggest another company to do the job and organise a quick quote. He was able to grind the stump down for us. Luke is an absolute machine with his stump grinding kit!!!! Punctual, very hard working and a great guy. There is NO WAY I thought he was going to get the through the 30+ stumps we had that were in tricky rocky ground. Busting teeth on the grinder Luke was fully prepared and took everything in his stride. You will not find a better operator to deal with your stumps…..however large or tricky.

What a fantastic service! We had a tree cut down a while back at our place near Wollongong and kept forgetting to finish the job by removing the stump. It eventually started to grow back and Luke was able to trim the branches and remove the stump within a few hours. Thank you, Luke for being reliable, professional and an all round great job. In the middle of renovations in Gerringong and had a pretty big lillipilli that needed to go before landscaping and retaining walls could start. After a couple of unsuccessful attempts to get some work done to grind bamboo here in Kiama I found Southside Stump Grinding. Luke was great from the first conversation. Quick response to my initial inquiry and every message after that. Reasonable rates and very accommodating to schedule changes due to unforeseen circumstances. His professional yet friendly manner made dealing with him so easy. On day of the booking, the Southside team were on time and finished the job in good pace. Purchasing an old dose upper house at the end of 2022, we had been stumped (pun intended) for ages on how to remove the tree stumps left by the 4 cut down trees in our yard. Luke made easy work of the big stumps and grinder them 20cm below the ground and filled the holes up and cleaned up too! I am keeping Luke in my contacts as my to go to stump grinding guy 10/10

We're in South Cronulla. We had long line of feral bamboo that ran along the side of the boundary fence in the back yard for 15 metres. The bamboo was sitting on top of a concrete footing right up against the fence. Luke was able to stump grind nearly all of the bamboo right to the concrete and into some tight spaces. Luke was on time, he explained every step of the process and left minimal mess. The price was super competitive to other quotes we received. Luke was a pro.

Great experience getting about 12 big yucca stumps removed in Balgownie. Luke stopped by right after we contacted to check out the job and came soon after we told him it was time. Left the site near and tidy and was able to do it all above the sewer line where the yuccas were. Would recommend and use again.

Luke came at short notice to complete a stump removal and grinding. He turned up, looked, listened and came up with a good plan. His equipment was well maintained, had good safety standards and was very effective. The job was completed fairly quickly, but most importantly, to a high standard. Cleanup done, waste organised and some helpful advice. Luke was organised, efficient and helpful. Get him again for any of this type of work.

We live in the northern Illawarra and our beloved jacaranda came down in the last winds. Southside Stump Grinding came to remove the stump and they were amazing.
